Mediamix is the only company in the Caribbean which offers a multi-disciplinary approach to the creation of media materials and the dissemination of information. The Company opened its doors in November 1973 and celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 1998. Mediamix and Palm Productions (a sister company) form a natural synergy for production, marketing and distribution. The Video Concept is another subsidiary.

The majority of our present work is in television programmes, having both local and international appeal. These include soap operas, sitcoms, musicals and magazines. Other production work covers music videos, commercials and documentaries.

We have also produced one full-length theatrical feature "Children of Babylon", which has been distributed in North America.

Mediamix has a full-time staff of professional cinematographers and a sound engineer in addition to other production personnel. This is augmented by a pool of outside professionals who do assignments on a job-by-job basis.

OUR EQUIPMENT include DV CAM and Ikegami ENG-EEP cameras, Betacam SP recorders, 3/4" Broadcast U-Matic VTRS, Calaway Computerized Editor, Avid Digital Editor, Intergroup 9600 Switcher, Abekas A53-D digital effects, Aurora Digital Graphics design system, Dubner Character Generator, 16mm Telecine Chain, Colortran lights, Arriflex SR 16mm cameras and 16mm Steenback film editor, Flicker-free video assist, plus a wide range of accessories. Further accessories and 35mm cameras can be provided on short notice.

We have production trucks, a multi-crane, generator and our mediacentre has an insert sound stage which is 55' x 40' in dimension.

Film projection is available in the 16mm format. Screenings can be provided for board-room type situations with theatre-size audiences. Dual slide projection (35mm) along with synchronous sound cueing is part of the facility.

DV CAM, Betacam, 3/4" U-Matic and VHS are the videotape formats used. Reel-to-reel and cassette equipment is available for sound recordings and playback. Our sound studio also has facilities for post-synchronization and an impressive CD Music and Effects Library. Black & white and colour still photographs services are available.
